10 Derbyshire special schools are to receive a share of £27,000 that will be spent on providing vocational opportunities for teenagers. Areas of expertise such a bricklaying, catering, health and beauty will be focused on with the money being used to give pupils practical experience in these fields. It could also be used to
take them on visits to experience the working environment. Schools
receiving cash include Alfreton Park; Ashgate Croft; Bennerley Fields;
Brackenfield School; Delves School; Holbrook Autism Centre; Holly
House; Stanton Vale School; and Stubbin Wood. |
