Description:
The Georgian built farmhouse is conveniently situated in the quiet countryside near to the beautiful Manifold Valley and Dovedale.
Superb scenery and walking country are right on the doorstep, and attractions such as Alton Towers are a short journey away.
The farm stands on a spur overlooking the Manifold Valley. This is one of the most famous rivers of the Peak District and carves a spectacular deep valley with numerous rocky crags, a sight which is matched locally only by Dovedale - just a few miles away.
The farm is a working beef cattle farm and has a long history - next door to the farmhouse stands the ruins of Throwley Hall a 16th century manor house.
The farm specialises in pedigree Charolais cattle, which graze in the fields surrounding the farm and on the hillside overlooking the Manifold Valley.
You will find Throwley Hall farm a welcoming place to stay, with our clean, comfortable rooms and hearty breakfasts.
