Small road survey

A survey is being undertaken to determine how many lorries travel on a rural road in Ashbourne.

It is hoped that the survey will help decide whether weight restrictions should be imposed.

Residents of Windmill Lane have asked for the weight limit. They feel that the road should not be used by large commercial traffic because the area is largely residential

Cabinet member for environment services Brian Lucas has been advised by officers to order a survey to find out if the road is being used excessively by heavy goods vehicles.
