The Black Grouse pub in Longnor has been named Pub of the Year and received a top accolade in the "Taste of Staffordshire Good Food Awards 2008."
Chef proprietor Todd Carroll commented "We had only planned on
using this as a marketing exercise, to receive some feedback, so we
were a bit shocked when we were announced as the winner."
"I
think the award recognises the good food we serve, and the warm welcome
and cosy atmosphere we offer to people who come here to eat and drink."
"It is also a sort of 'well-done' to everyone for their hard work."
The news comes just months after The Black Grouse received a coveted AA Rosette Award for Culinary Excellence. |
