Description
Oxdales Cottage is situated at the southern end of the Peak District in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales.

It sleeps four, 1 double, 1 twin, bed linen and towels provided.  Bathroom has both a bath and shower.

Comfortable, cosy sitting room with digital TV, DVD player and VCR.

Well equipped kitchen with electric cooker, fridge freezer, microwave and seating area.

Private garden with summer house and garden furniture with scenic view.

Prices start at £250 per week and short breaks are available.

Oxdales cottage is situated up a private road off the main A515 Ashbourne to Buxton road and therefore is very quiet with no sound of passing traffic.  Several footpaths lead from the cottage to pretty surrounding villages.

The Tissington Trail is just 5 minutes walk away and is ideal for both walkers and cyclists.  Cycles can be hired at Parsley Hay station or bring your own.

Dovedale, Beresford Dale, Biggin Dale and Wolfescote Dale can all be reached on foot from the cottage.  Hartington, well known for its lovely walks is approximately 4 miles away. Tissington with its impressive Hall and well dressings is just 5 minutes drive away.

We are centrally situated with many varied attractions in every direction to suit people of all ages, Buxton with its Victorian spa, Opera House, Pooles Cavern or for the more adventurous, Go-Ape, The market town of Ashbourne with its antique shops and leisure centre.

For thrill seekers Alton Towers is 30 minutes drive away.  Bakewell which is well known for its pudding and nearby historic houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall.  The cable cars and Gullivers Kingdom at Matlock Bath.

The canal at Arkwrights Mill at Cromford or catch a steam train at Darley Dale or Rowsley.  For those who like to shop there is the new Westfield centre at Derby.  

There are many more places of interest to visit all with a 20 mile radius of our cottage and can easily be reached within an hour.
