Description Brushfield is an ideal base for those wishing to enjoy an activity holiday with nearby facilities/locations for rock climbing, caving, horse riding, gliding, fishing and mountain biking. The cottages are adjacent to the owner's farmhouse and within easy reach of many local attractions. Bakewell is 7 miles, Buxton 7 miles, Chatsworth 6 miles, Matlock 12 miles, Hope Valley 12 miles. There are many picturesque walks from the doorstep. Monsal Dale is literally just around the corner and Miller's Dale is only a short walk away. It is ideal for those wishing to explore the rich diversity of life and landscape within the Peak District. Albertine Barn The cottage has a large cart entrance with glazed doorway, flagstone entrance hallwayand an attractive upstairs/balcony. There are 2 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms - one of which is on the ground floor. Maigold Cottage Is a single storey conversion offering accommodation "all on one level." Accommodation includes a spacious lounge with beamed ceiling and traditional log burning stove (an initial supply of fuel is provided). It has been tastefully decorated and furnished and contains a piano, colour TV, DVD and video tape player. There is an attractive double bedroom with exposed roof trusses and an external door to the patio area. The twin bedded room has a beamed ceiling. Pictured below left.
