Lake View, Carsington Water is located in the small hamlet of Hopton overlooking Carsington Water 7 miles from Ashbourne.
Lake View sleeps 6 to 8 people in 3 double bedrooms, one of them having a very comfortable day bed and pullout.
The Cottage is part of the original housekeepers wing of Hopton House and has been skilfully converted to offer superb facilities with the most stunning views over the water. The accommodation is a mix of old and new and offers comfortable surroundings whether it be a weekend break or a fortnights vacation. There is a good pub 5 minutes walk away which serves local ales and good pub food.
The pretty market town of Wirksworth is located less than 5 minutes drive away where you can find Le Mistral Bistro, various pubs and both a Fish and Chip shop and Chinese takeaway. There are numerous other Good pubs serving food within a 5 minute drive.
The house is situated right on the circular route around Carsington water and cycle hire, kayaking, sailing, bird watching and fly fishing are all available at from the visitors centre 2 miles away.
