All rooms are ground level. Garage. Private, gated well-maintained gardens, with patio and barbeque facilities.
Visit Britain Quality Assurance Standard grades Derwent View with 4 Stars. It has full central heating and all fuel and power is included in the rent as are the bed linen and towels. Other facilities include a high chair, colour TV, DVD, radio, Free WiFi, payphone, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine, and tumble dryer. A cot is available on request. Outside there are enclosed lawned gardens, patio, and garden furniture, and barbecue, use of garage, also parking area for the cars.
Derwent View is situated at the edge of the village of Bamford with stunning views over both Hope Valley and Derwent Valley and it is within one mile of Ladybower, Howden, and Derwent reservoirs and the Snake Pass beyond. Nearby Hathersage is an interesting village, with its historic features and open-air swimming pool. The town of Bakewell is easily accessible with Chatsworth house nearby. Castleton, famous for its Blue John stone and caves is just a short drive away, as is Haddon Hall.
Bamford itself is located within the beautiful unspoilt Peak District National Park. Much of the village has been untouched since before the 18th century. It has 3 church’s, general store, which is 750 yards, 2 pubs, and the nearest pub and restaurant is 500 yards away. Petrol station at the end of the village, post office, and bakery. There is a golf course in the village. There is beautiful countryside right on the doorstep and the accommodation offers excellent base to explore the Peak District and it’s many attractions. Lot’s of countryside to go walking, cycling, hand gliding, or just plain relaxing in this wonderful area.

Access Statement Access to the property from outside is as follows:
1. There are no steps from the drive to the patio door. At the patio door there are two steps at 7-inch riser height with a 12-inch tread. There is then a 5-inch step into the dining room. There is a handrail at the side of these steps and a grab handle attached to the door frame.
2. If you wish to enter the property at the kitchen door access point, again there are no steps from the drive to the open porch leading on to the kitchen door. There is one 7- inch step leading up to the hard standing floor of the porch and then one 5- inch step into the kitchen.
Once inside everything is at one level. All doors are the standard 2 foot 6 inch opening width.
Bathroom and Shower Facilities The bath is fitted with side handles and a bath seat is available for guest’s use. The front bedroom en suite shower is fitted with a grab handle.
Other Facilities There is a radio suitable for a partially sighted person’s use and a hot drinks sensor in the in the kitchen. This piece of equipment enables blind people to make hot drinks without scalding themselves. Also there is a “ Talking Clock” available should guests wish to use it. In the reception rooms there are three high-seated wooden armchairs of the Windsor type and ample cushions are provided. We have come to realise that these chairs are very suitable for people who find it difficult to get up out of the normal type of easy armchair!
