Description Millfields Farm is situated  in a peaceful countryside setting with magnificant views.  Both of our cottages lie  in the heart of rolling hills, only a few minutes walk from Carsington Water. Curlew Cottage   (Sleeps 6) Curlew Cottage has recently been renovated and furnished with quality furniture with all the "mod cons" you would expect whilst still remaining its historic character.  It has been restored to incredibly high standards and offers spacious accomodation in which you can relax and unwind.  Natural stone and oak floors throughout give it its own character,  operating on oil fired central heating. There is ample of parking and an outside patio area with table and chairs to enjoy the views and south facing. Wi-fi  access throughout.  A week away from the office may not be so traumatic!  Layout: Master Bedroom - Antique wrought iron bed, with full en-suite, including roll top bath. TV/DVD  in room. Main Bathroom - Roll top bath and seperate shower enclosure, this making it a third bathroom, useful with  large parties.  Twin Bedroom - Twin antique wrought iron beds TV/DVD in room. Double Bedroom with ground floor access -Antique wrought iron bed, en-suite shower and toilet.  TV/DVD in room. Kitchen -Range cooker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, fridge Living area -Luxurious leather sofas, gas stove, TV, DVD player. The cottage is an ideal base to explore the area.  Nearby activities include fishing, sailing, kayaking, bike riding and walking, all within one mile of Swallow Barn. Local attractions (within 30 mins drive) include Alton Towers, Chatsworth, Bakewell and High Peak. Although this is a non-working farm we do have some friendly residents for you to meet, which include 2 Pot Bellied pigs, 2 Shetland ponies, Geese, Chickens, Ducks, a Chocolate labrador and a Black Labrador. We also have Swallow Barn, next door to Curlew Cottage, which sleeps 2 and both may be hired together for larger family/friendly gatherings.
