Ashford in the Water is a picturesque village by the river Wye and is undisputedly one of the most beautiful villages in the Peak District National Park. Just a few minutes stroll takes you to the centre of the village where you will find the village stores, local gourmet pubs and the award winning Riverside Country House restaurant. Seasonal activities include cricket, fishing and well dressing. Picturesque Bakewell is only 1 mile away with its traditional Farmers Market and individual boutique style shops, fine pubs cafes/restaurants. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Castleton and the plague village of Eyam are close by. Cornbrook House. A large bespoke and fully integrated kitchen and dining area with dining seating for eight people. Polished Granite worktops/Double cooker/Dishwasher/ Washing machine/Freezer/Microwave. 3 Bedrooms: The bedrooms have been uniquely created offering three luxuriously appointed bedrooms. Memory foam mattresses for a perfect nights sleep, antique and bespoke furniture and crisp white sheets. Cornbrook offers a relaxed and comfortable experience whether you are coming for a weekend in the country, a special occasion or just to eat and drink we very much look forward to welcoming you at Cornbrook House. The Master double bedroom has hand made and antique furniture including a double bed with memory foam mattress. Double bedroom has handmade furniture and fittings together with an antique brass and iron bed and memory foam mattress. Single bedroom has beautiful handmade bunk beds. Luxurious Victorian Style Bathroom highlights a stunning double ended, roll top cast iron bath with chrome feet, bidet and Individual Shower, Antique fittings including an antique crystal Chandelier. Linen and towels are provided. Gas and electricity are included in the price. Initial logs are supplied. Further supplies by request. Gas centrally heated and always plenty of hot water Off road parking. No smoking policy in cottage. Arrivals from 3pm. Departures by 10.00am. Tariffs 2008 June - 595 July - 645 Aug - 695 Sept - 645 Oct  - 625 Nov - 595 Dec - 795 Short breaks: 4 nights mid week or 3 nights long week end are available Payment A deposit or 40% is payable if the booking is made more than 6 weeks in advance. The booking form will detail the amount due. The balance is due 6 weeks in advance together with a damages deposit. The booking form will give the date the receipt of the balance is due. Cancellation If you have to cancel the booking you will lose your deposit. If you have to cancel within 6 weeks of your arrival you may have to pay the full cost of your holiday. However, we shall make every effort to re-let Cornbrook House then you may receive a refund. Therefore we strongly recommend that you take out Holiday Cancellation Insurance to protect yourself. Booking Procedure Once a provisional booking is received you will be sent a booking form. This will give full details of the booking including the payment due. It will need to be completed giving full names of all guests together with ages of children. Under no circumstances may you exceed the agreed number of guests to be accommodated. The booking form will need signing and returning together with any payment due. Once this is received you will be sent an e-mail confirming booking and receipt of payment. Please note the booking is not secured until payment of the deposit is received. We reserve the right to cancel your booking your booking at any time if the house is subject to circumstances beyond our control before you arrive e.g. flood, fire or is unable to be occupied for any other reason for the date you have booked. Under these circumstances you will receive a complete refund. However, no compensation in lieu of holiday can be paid. Loss or Damaged Cornbrook House will be thoroughly checked and cleaned on your departure and should any undue damage have occurred you would be required to pay for this.
