City council records improve

Derby City Council have released a slew of new figures that demonstrate how the record for repairs has improved greatly.

Derby Homes said that in the financial year 2006-7, the number of repair appointments completed was 78% but that rose to 86% in 2007-8.

The group also increased the number of walkabouts completed on estates in 2007-8. The figure increased from 33% in 2006-07 to 83%.

It said it would continue to improve the appointment system to try to reach its 100% target.
