Conservative
Parliamentary Candidate for the High Peak Andrew Bingham completed the
unique 4Peaks in Two days challenge in August and raised £748 for charity.
He said
"The walk was done in aid of a new Cancer Support Group in Buxton. The
group, run by Alison Morten, needed some funding to get them on their
way. However we raised more than they needed so after
discussions with Alison and Emma we decided to give the balance to
Blythe House hospice in Chapel."
The proceeds of the walk, when
Andrew was accompanied by Emma McClarkin, Conservative Prospective
European Parliamentary Candidate for the East Midlands, have been
donated to Blythe House Hospice (£448) and High Peak Cancer Support
Group (£300).
During the walk, Andrew and Emma scaled Kinder Scout, Mam Tor, Castle Naze and Corbar Cross over a weekend. |
