Gem Connection Ladies' Barbershop Harmony Chorus are based in Long Eaton and they have recently scooped second place in a national contest. The team competed at the annual convention of the Ladies' Association of British
Barbershop Singers this month, returning with the silver medal.
A choir spokeswoman said "We were hoping to win bronze, but to achieve silver status has been a fantastic reward."
The
group meets every Thursday evening at Harrington School, Derby Road,
