Description Ashford Farm Cottages Ashford Farm Holiday Cottages are situated in the heart of the Peak District National Park, 2 miles from the market town of Bakewell. Ashford-in-the-Water is one of the most visited villages in the area, the River Wye running through the village with its famous 'Sheepwash Bridge' and of course the annual 'Well Dressing Week' in June where the wells are 'dressed' with flower petals. Ashford has two pubs, well stocked local shop, a church, a country house hotel and a playground area for the children. There is wonderful walking in the immediate vicinity being 10 minutes walk from the Monsal Dale with its historic viaduct. There are numerous famous attractions in the area, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Castleton, Buxton, Matlock and Ashbourne all with 10 miles of the accommodation.
